Our DNA lies in working with the highest level athletes. Our founders met on the Tour de France and worked with some of the best endurance and speed athletes on the planet. Their feedback became the fuel for our solutions.
It all began in 2013 when Hannah Grant, the highly acclaimed chef who pioneered “performance cooking,” met Stacy Sims, a scientist at the forefront of performance nutrition research.
Before meeting, they were both heavily involved in the grueling professional cycling scene. Hannah’s performance cooking technique forever changed the way that pro cyclists eat. Working for Stanford University and USA Cycling, Stacy’s research spawned an entirely new generation of hydration products.
The two hit it off immediately and set out to explore ways to improve the performance of cyclists by reducing the effects of physical stress and dehydration. During their research, they looked into the impact that jet lag has on athletes who travel the globe to compete. From this, they became aware of the massive effect dehydration has on the body when flying.
Eat. Race. Win
Eat Race Win – chef Hannah Grant’s second sports nutrition cookbook, following The Grand Tour Cookbook – is a usable and ultimately interesting read that might help shed light on areas of nutrition that you’ve yet to optimise.
Published to accompany Hannah Grant’s Amazon Prime new cookery show. A behind-the-scenes, on and off-the-bike adventure into the biggest annual sporting event on the planet: The Tour de France. Known as the Queen of Performance Cooking, Chef Hannah Grant takes you on her race within the race, sourcing fuel-packed food for Australia’s pro cycling team, Orica-Scott, as Sports Director Matthew White encourages his nine riders to victory. The show eventually won an Emmy award for Best Culinary Show.
